My First Ever Studio Shoot

This is my #modellingstory by #ellewilks and today is #modelmonday and we are looking at my first ever studio shoot with Kevin English (Photographer) and Bi (MUA and Hair Stylist).

These were two pictures which were from my first studio shoot 2 weeks ago. Hair and Make-up by Bi and Photography by Kevin English.

Three words I'd choose to sum up studio shoots in my opinion would be 'Creativity, Positioning and Confidence'

Why did I choose these words?

Creativity - with a studio shoot if you have no props or any patterned backgrounds you've got to model your look. If you are wearing urban style clothes you don't do elegant positions, if you are 50's style you don't do urban positions.
This then links us to Positioning.
Positioning - you've got to know your look and work with that. Have poses in your mind and facial expressions. Know what you're going to do and go with that.
Then we get linked to Confidence.
Confidence - you have got to have confidence in your positioning otherwise you may end up looking awkward or be a hard model to work with and no photographers want to work with models who are hard to position. Just relax, be yourself and if you are not tired by the end of the shoot you haven't worked hard enough! "An amazing photographer, known as Kevin English, once told me this."

What advice would you give?
