Interview With Miss Sunshine 2014

This is my Event 1 on #modellingstory

I held a Charity Beauty Pageant on the 28th September 2014 at Llanhilleth Institute. It was held for Rays Of Sunshine a children's charity.

The older age group (11 to 15) winner who was crowned Miss Sunshine 2014 was the beautiful
Mia-Rose.

Due to Mia-Rose's exciting win I decided to interview her.

Good Evening Mia-Rose. To begin this interview I am going to ask you a simple question just so your fans can get to know you a little more. How would you describe yourself in three words?

Good Evening Elle. Great meeting you again and I'm so excited. I would say sociable because I easily mix and get to know people quickly. Another word would be friendly because I love helping people and doing things out of good will and enthusiastic because I show it in everything I do.

Wow! What a great answer. I find it lovely to hear that you enjoy helping others. A huge part of being a beauty queen is helping others in my opinion because they are suppose to be someone you'd look up to and want to follow in the footsteps of. Okay so for your next question I'm going to ask is who is your inspiration and why?

My mum is my biggest inspiration because she's makes commitment to her family, career and the community! She's puts passion and shows enthusiasm in everything she does, I feel my key strengths come from her, myself.

She sounds like a very inspiration women if I do say so myself and having met her before I believe she is. Your next question is what do you feel are your strongest and weakest points in the modelling industry?

My strongest points are that I am able to let my personality show, I get a little nervous but not I'm not afraid. I'd probably say my weakest points in the pageant was dipping my head every now and again, where you need to keep it up constantly.

Absolutely. How did you  generally feel at the pageant?

Overall at the pageant I felt a mixture of feelings, starting from nervous, excitement all the way to ambitious. So many feelings all came at once.

Sounds great, ambitious really stands out for me there because I personally feel that within not only this industry of pageants and modelling but performing and sports for examples you need to be ambitious and determined. You've got to take it seriously otherwise you won't get anywhere. This is my favourite question, what was your favourite round at the pageant and why?

My favourite round was the third round were in our knee length dresses, because we were asked questions that allowed us to show out personality.

What a great answer. You seemed to know what you was doing, have you had any other experiences in pageants or modelling?

Other than the 'Miss Sunshine 2014' pageant I have done no other pageants or modelling, that was my first time.

Well I'm shocked. You were fabulous. Unfortunately the crowns the sashes were running late so when we get them we will be having a group photo shoot. Are you looking forward to getting your crown and sash?

I'm super excited to be gaining the sash and crown.

Glad to hear it. How does it feel to be Miss Sunshine 2014?

It doesn't quite feel real, it's mad to think I now have a title.

That's how I felt when I first got my title but after a while it starts to sink in then I got even more excited (laughs). Obviously winning this you get to judge the next pageant I hold, how are you feeling about that?

I can not wait to be a judge in the next pageant, I will be able to see how different people show their personalities.

Great. So moving off the subject of Miss Sunshine are you taking part in any other pageants and if so what are they?

I am hoping to attend other pageants, just in the process of finding the right ones.

Good, I'm sure you'll do excellent. Is there anything else you'd wish to share with your fans and the readers?

Throughout the day I picked up many things, and learnt lots of tips and tricks. From this my advice for any type of pageants in general is whilst on stage, hold your head high and pretend that crown's already on your head. Look at the judges, then the audience and back at the judges
If you find it difficult to look the judges in the eyes, look at their foreheads(top tip that i learnt on the day)
Don't compare yourself to other girls, because you're only being judged on you. Have confidence within and the most important but simplest thing of all is to Smile, smile, SMILE!
Enjoy yourself, have fun, interact!

Perfect! Thank you very much. Hope you have a great time showing off your title and appearing everywhere from now on. Look forward to meeting you again for the photo shoot and thank you for your time.

Thank you very much and I definitely will. Can't wait to see you either, I'm so excited.

Remember to come back to check for updates on Mia-Rose's pictures with her sash and crown :)
