Calming Colours
Tonight for #therapythrusday I decided to have a relaxation timeout and just take time to myself. I led in the low light of my room and beside me laid the three calming pots of gorgeously smelling coloured oils that took me away.
The first essential oil I used was Lavender. I got my small pot and filled it half way with warm water then added 4 drops of Lavender oil but I thought it looked rather plain so I also added a couple drops of blue food colouring. The water was still calming but also created a colourful atmosphere.
The second essential oil I used was Patchouli. I used another small pot and repeated the same method but this time added the Patchouli instead of the Lavender and yellow food colouring instead of the blue.
The third, and last essential oil I used was Rosemary. I completed the same method once again but with Rosemary and red food colouring.
Lastly to create an even more sensationally relaxing aura I added cute little tea lights that floated majestically on top of the water.
Something I will do again when I'm feeling stressed and definitely something I would recommend to have a wind down or to release anything off your chest.
If anyone has ever tried any of these oils or relaxation tequiques please comment below and say what you thought.
